Sponsoring Committee

Local sponsorship is coordinated by the Air Cadet League of Canada through a Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC).  The Squadron Sponsoring Committee is in-part funded as a local Sault Ste. Marie United Way member agency program.

The Canadian Forces charge no registration fees, dues or costs for the uniforms or for the basic Cadet training.

The Royal Canadian Air Cadets is run through the partnership of the Department of National Defence (DND), the Canadian Forces and the Air Cadet League of Canada. The Canadian Forces provides staff, personnel, equipment and financial support to Cadet units.

155 Highland Dancers 2015The Squadron Sponsoring Committee is the civilian sponsor  responsible for all costs not covered by the Canadian Forces.  Parents are encouraged to participate, or help the local sponsor with local costs.

At the local level, the Squadron Sponsoring Committee seeks partners in the funding portions of extra-curricular Squadron Training activities.
